Anti-drumming

Damping resonances or vibrations by de-embedding

Materials that absorb sound reverberations have been especially developed for damping the resonance or vibration of thin plate surfaces, such as those made of steel, aluminium, wood or plastic. Such plate surfaces pass on air or contact noises to the surroundings, and they even increase the strength of some tones and noises.

Reducing noise with sound-absorbing materials

The application of such reverberation-reducing materials on one side of the plate, is usually sufficient for reducing the noise hindrance to an acceptable level.

ISOPARTNER Netherlands offers an extensive range of reverberation-reducing materials, ranging from plate materials to pastes and sprayable compounds.

What is anti-drumming?

Damping resonances or vibrations of thin-walled plate surfaces

How anti-drumming works?

Noise radiation and vibrations from metal sheet metal parts are reduced.

How to install anti-drumming?

There are stripping compounds and stripping boards. The stripping compound can be applied by spraying or brushing. Anti-drumming boards are glued with a sticker or fused to the substrate by heating.
