Heating Technology
Heating systems that produce a lot of heat also have a particularly high risk of heat loss. Today, energy efficiency is one of the most important parameters in the planning, renovation and maintenance of buildings.
One of the simplest, cheapest and most effective energy-saving measures is pipe insulation.
Airconditioning
When office buildings and homes are air-conditioned, the ducts sometimes convey not only cold air but also noise and pollutants, which have been shown to affect the health of building occupants ("sick building syndrome").
The job of insulation is to transport the desired climate from the unit to the desired location and replace the stale air with little noise.
Ventilation Technology
The air processed in the ventilation center is distributed throughout the building via air conditioning and ventilation ducts. Without insulation, the energy efficiency of ventilation ducts literally vanishes into thin air. Nowhere else can so much energy be saved with proper insulation, while at the same time reducing the noise emissions that can be generated by the flowing air.
If ventilation ducts are routed through different fire compartments, care must be taken to eliminate the transmission of fire and smoke. In these cases, ventilation ducts should be designed in fire resistance classes of EI 30 - EI 90.

Cooling systems are an important part of commercial, trade and industrial enterprises. Here it is important to reduce cooling losses and provide long-term, reliable protection for the systems against energy loss and condensation.
Depending on the size of the system, the cost of energy consumption accounts for as much as 40 to 80 percent of the total cost.
Sanitary technology
The insulation of plumbing and heating systems is subject to the requirements of the Energy Conservation Ordinance (EnEV) on the one hand and DIN 1988 Parts 2 and 7 on the other.
The quality of living depends not least on insulated sewage pipes. Thus wastewater pipes in the building must be insulated against the formation of condensation, for example on rainwater pipes, and also to improve sound insulation.
Solar Technology
Solar collectors achieve a unique efficiency: they produce low-cost hot water and thus contribute to the energy-saving heat supply of a home.
In solar technology, however, the insulation materials must be of even higher quality and more resistant than in other sectors, since the pipes often run in the open and are exposed to the weather throughout the year.
