ROCKWOOL recently had Peutz conduct an assessment of the resistance to smoke passage of ROCKWOOL pipe insulation in structural components.
Smoke transmission negligible according to NEN 6075
The tests show that the components of the penetrations sealed with ROCKWOOL materials are in full contact with each other and remain so even at a pressure difference of 25 Pa. Moreover, because the components themselves are not air permeable, the smoke permeability of the penetrations is negligible according to NEN 6075.
